I understand what Henri Matisse meant when he said that he did his sculpture as a painter- I used my hands to paint the majority of this piece. Treating the canvas as clay I formed the shadows of her face and the contours of her body by pushing the thick acrylic colors into each other- working the canvas continuously with small pieces of cloth to create her form- My version of Fabian Perez's-"Cynzia II"
